The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic & the European Opera Center! "Così fan tutte," recreated according to Mozart’s original vision! Conducted by Vasily Petrenko, this production is the latest in a series of collaborative projects between the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic (RLPO) and the European Opera Center (EOC), following the Wolf-Ferrari Project (Avie/AV2193, Rubicon/RCD1024). Their latest release features Mozart’s masterpiece, the opera buffa *Cosi fan tutte*! Its most notable feature is that it recreates the original *Cosi fan tutte* as Mozart had envisioned it—and, of course, it is the world’s first recording of this version. Professor Ian Woodfield, a music historian at Queen’s University, collected various scores that had been scattered across the globe after the war and investigated the differences between them through research, including dating the scores based on the ink used. It was revealed that Mozart had not decided whether the lovers would swap partners, making this revival possible. Laurent Puyo is a French conductor who worked alongside Kent Nagano and Plácido Domingo as Associate Music Director at the Los Angeles Opera and currently serves as Music Director of the Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne Symphony Orchestra in France. Leading a cast of promising young singers from the European Opera Center, he brings Mozart’s vision of *Cosi fan tutte* to life for modern audiences. Tokyo M Plus
