French Cello Sonatas, Volume 4 [Overview] ◆Composed in 1910: Although completed in the same year, the two works are stylistically contrasting. In 1985, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the Paris International Competition. As a soloist with the Moscow Philharmonic Society, she performed throughout the Soviet Union and, from an early age, also performed in Germany, Hungary, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Portugal, Finland, and Tunisia. In 1995, she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. ◆Ivan Sokolov (Piano): He gave his first solo concert at the age of 10. He studied under P.E. Barseghyan at the Mussorgsky Music School.
