These reveal the remarkable breadth of Revueltas' talent, showing he was a composer of piano pieces in his youth, even before achieving success as a violinist. 【Works】 ◆While Revueltas has been known primarily for his primitivist, rhythmic orchestral works influenced by the young Stravinsky, many of the early pieces included on this album display entirely different, Romantic characteristics.And among them, some are classical-style works, while others are eccentric pieces showing an approach to modernism, conveying the trial and error of the young Revueltas. 【Performance】 ◆The performance is by Rodolfo Ritter, a German-Mexican professor at the National Conservatory of Music of Mexico and a renowned authority on Mexican music. A Yamaha Artist, Ritter is actively dedicated to discovering and introducing Mexico's lesser-known Romantic works. As a scholar himself, he also plays a leading role in editing and interpreting unpublished scores for these recordings. 【Recording】 ◆Recorded in December 2024 at the Grand Hall of the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. This historic hall has hosted legends like Maria Callas and Clemens Krauss. 【Specifications】 ◆Packaging is digipak style. The insert booklet (English, 12 pages) includes liner notes by Mexican composer, pianist, historian, and musicologist Luis Jaime Cortés. Manufactured in the EU, the disc is produced by Germany's Optimal Media, a major label manufacturer.
