LP reissue of the 1971 soundtrack produced by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker! Donald Fagen and Walter Becker produced this soundtrack before the formation of Steely Dan. The two were originally classmates at the same college and struggled to make money as songwriters, but the songs and ensemble are of excellent quality. The songs and ensemble are of excellent quality. The guitar sound has just the right amount of roughness, and the clear choruses are worth repeated listening. This album was released in 1971, a year after Steve Katz discovered them and formed Steely Dan, which made its debut with "Can't Buy a Thrill.
