As a producer and collaborator, he has worked with a diverse range of artists including Arrow Black, Roy Ayers, and Quantic.Known as "Australia's Mark Ronson" for his genre-defying approach, he has also performed with guitar legends like Ed Sheeran, Sly Johnson, and Joe Bataan. Now, he releases two 7-inch singles simultaneously from the third installment of the hugely popular series, 'Rare Groove Spectrum, Vol. 3'! One of these, a Japan-exclusive 7-inch, features selections curated by CAPTAIN VINYL, the DJ unit formed by DJ NORI and MURO. "I've always loved the original 'Runnin'' and was thrilled to be part of this selection," says DJ NORI. "Losalamitoslatinfunklovesong has been a favorite of mine for ages, so I'm excited to play it on 7-inch soon!" - MURO DJ NORI's selection, "Runnin'" (1977), is a superb cover of Earth, Wind & Fire's wide-ranging, high-energy sound, featuring prominent scat vocals. Its layered arrangement reportedly consumed the most studio time among their works.MURO's cover of Gene Harris's "Los Alamitos Latin Funk Love Song" (1974) also features women showcasing their scat vocals. The original Latin fusion track is reconstructed in a bossa nova style, resulting in a light, groovy track with a pleasant finish. Additionally, the other 7-inch released worldwide simultaneously features two tracks: "Cold Bear," a passionate reinterpretation of the New Orleans funk classic by The Gaturs, and Jungle's cult hit "Dominoes."
