The 11th in the NOT NOW 3-CD Jazz Compilation Series, planned and selected by Tower. This is a collection of jazz masterpieces played on "rare instruments" like no other. Jazz instruments include not only saxophone and piano, but also harmonica, violin, flute, harp, horn, tuba, whistle, oboe, timpani, sitar, oud, and many others. The album contains 45 tracks of jazz standards and unique original compositions using these instruments. The recording features world-famous Toots Sielmans (harmonica, whistle), Stefan Grappelli (violin), Dorothy Ashby (harp), Herbie Mann (flute, bass clarinet), Ray Draper (tuba), and others, and was recorded by Prestiges, The sound sources are selected from a wide range of recordings on prestigious labels such as Prestidge, Riverside, and Blue Note, as well as minor labels. In addition, for the first time in the series, each disc has its own theme. Disc 1 is "SOUND OF JOY! This theme conveys the joy of "fresh discovery" when a well-known standard tune is played on a rare instrument. Disc 2 is "SOUND OF DELIGHT!The rare instrumental piece "Love Theme From Spartacus", a well-known masterpiece, conveys the joy of "another dimension". Disc 3 is "SOUND OF ADVENTURE! (I Don't Know What Will Happen)". This is the advanced version. It is a world of "adventure" where you never know what will happen.
