New Orleans cult band Special Interest is reissuing their previously released demo tapes in analog format on Disciples! Special Interest is a band from New Orleans consisting of Alli Logout (vocals), Ruth Mascelli (synth/drum machine), Maria Elena (guitar), and Nathan Cassiani (bass).The cult band, critically acclaimed by Pitchfork magazine and described as "Stonewall Riots meets CRASS meets rave culture meets Long Hot Summer" by ele-king magazine here in Japan, will release a reissue of their previously released demo tape on Disciples" to release a reissue of their previously released demo tapes! The album includes four demo versions of songs from their 2018 album Spiralling, as well as a hard, chaotic cover of Italian new wave band Chrisma, the angry, industrial punk opening track "Disease," and a new track, "Disease," which is also described as shoegaze punk. ATC," which can be described as shoegaze punk, and "I'll Never Do Ketamine Again," which laments coming down from a drug experience, for a total of eight hardcore-style tracks.
