Originally formed as a studio project by a young Adrian Sherwood to realize his first album recording session, the masterpiece "Dub From Creation" was born (engineered by another master of UK reggae/dub music, Dennis Bovell). engineer). From there, the band became Prince Far Rae's touring band, and at the same time, has released important works that are indispensable to the UK dub/reggae scene, with the band leader and central figure, Crucial Tony Phillips, at the helm.After the tragic incarceration of bassist Lizard Logan and the murder of Prince Far Rae, the band went on an extended hiatus in the mid-1980s, but in 2017, Adrian Sherwood's project, Sherwood at the Control, London reunited for a performance. The band then returned to the studio with Adrian to complete Hostile Environment. Crucial Tony continues to lead the band today, along with Charlie Eskimo Fox and Rankin Magoo. This luxurious 6-CD box set includes UK releases from the late 1970s and early 1980s, such as "Dub From Creation," "Starship Africa," and the fan-favorite rarity "Close Encounters of the Third World. The set also features five of the most important dub/reggae albums from the late 1970s and early 1980s, including "Dub From Creation," "Starship Africa," and the fan-favorite rarity "Close Encounters of the Third World," and combines them with the latest album "Hostile Environment," released last year for the first time in 40 years, as a single work.The boxed set includes an original 36-page booklet, and the domestically distributed version comes with a bilingual booklet and commentary. where the band began their career.
