This enigmatic artist says she chose her name because it’s “as cold as ice.” With punk-infused, poetic lyrics and sharp electronic pop tracks, every element feels both intuitive and delicate. This debut album, co-produced with label head Vegyn, is what she describes as a “self-indulgent” record—a documentation of “how I feel, what I’m experiencing, and how I want to live my life.” Having spent a year creating it, the album can be seen as a document of healing and evolution. Each track reflects a moment captured in an instant, revealing different facets of JohnGlacier. “While each song creates a completely different space, the album’s common theme is reflection and processing—it’s like the act of chipping away at ice,” she explains.
