Furthermore, the fleeting beauty of autumn foliage expressed in Chung-Yun Wei’s *Danpung*, the masterful Bachian counterpoint in Dominique Ram’s *Retrograde*, and the poetic world of Du Mu reflected in Chang Kai-Yang’s *Echoes of an Autumn Night*—all of which blend seasonal scenes and cultural traditions to vividly showcase Asia’s rich heritage and the innovative, colorful, and stimulating voices of today’s leading composers. Natalie Lynn Douglas is from New Zealand and currently serves as a professor of music at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
