Mary Bevan is a renowned British soprano with a distinguished career, having received the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Young Artist Award, the British Critics’ Circle Award, and, in 2019, the prestigious MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire). Scottish tenor Nicky Spence, who won the 2020 BBC Music Magazine Award in the Vocal category for his recording of Janáček’s song cycle (Hyperion CDA68282). This superb program features a stellar lineup of singers, including the renowned British baritone Roderick Williams, who won the 2016 Royal Philharmonic Society Award, served as Artistic Director of the 2016 Leeds Lieder Festival, and is also known in Japan for his regular collaborations with Bach Collegium Japan.
