Description:
This is a master-student duo program coupled with piano works by Ivar Gurney (1890-1937), who studied with Vaughan Williams at the Royal Academy of Music in 1919. Gurney wrote more than 40 vocal works between 1919 and 1922, and "Five Preludes" was composed during this period. Ian Burnside, renowned as a specialist in song accompaniment, will be the soloist for this modern British piano work, and his performance is also a must-see. Tokyo M-Plus
