A "modern-day Tropicália" from Brazil, a country in turmoil. The debut work of Hicardo Hishaiji, a remarkable artist from Rio de Janeiro, a Brazilian music city that has been producing new talents one after another, such as Huber, Ana Frango Eletrico, and others! Hishajji is the grandson of Aurora Miranda, the sister of Carmen Miranda and a singer and actress who also worked for Disney. As a teenager, he was exposed to King Crimson, Frank Zappa, and the street corner club movement in Minas, and he fell in love with psychedelic and jazz rock in the underground scene in Rio. From there, he became more deeply involved in the music of his own country and aspired to become a professional musician.He has been a member of Tropicália, the Brazilian version of the hippie movement led by Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and Os Mutantis, as well as Artur Velocai, Ivan Lins, Hermeto Pascual, Azimuth, Marcos Valli, and many others.
