Description:
Adolf Busch, the great German violinist, made his debut as a soloist in 1912 and eventually formed the Busch String Quartet, which continued his remarkable musical career. Fearing the invasion of Germany by the Nazis, Busch traveled to the United States with his quartet members via Switzerland. He continued to compose and left several works, including chamber music and piano pieces. His style was influenced by Reger, and in all of his works, lyrical melodies are hidden in complex counterpoint. This collection of piano pieces, recorded for the first time, covers the period from the beginning of his career to the year of his death, and they are all fascinating works. Naxos Japan
