Cassius is a French electronic unit consisting of Philippe Zdar and Boombass. As a representative act of the "French Touch" dance music movement from France, they were popular alongside Daft Punk and others from the late 1990s to the early 2000s (Zdahl passed away suddenly in 2019). The 1999 DJ TOOL, consisting of DJ-friendly long-form versions of eight songs from their 1999 debut album "1999," is now available on double vinyl.The UK Top 20 hit "1999" sampling Donna Summer, the funky "Feeling for You" with its Gwen McRae bass line, "La Mouche" spun by Daft Punk and 2 MANY DJS, "Foxxy" cleverly woven from "Foxy Brown," and other well-known classics are vividly revived in club format!
