O Beautiful Ghost Town, Forever… A compilation album covering the 2010s—the era shaped by the solitary genius Burial—is set for release With his 2006 debut album *Burial* and followed by his second album *Untrue* the next year—Burial established two monumental milestones. Though his true identity and background remain unknown to this day, his overwhelmingly original sound transcended the realms of UK garage, dubstep, and even club music, leaving a lasting impact as one of the defining artists of the 2000s. After a prolonged period of silence, this genius made a comeback in 2011—as the new decade began—with the EP *StreetHalo*. While anticipation for a third album grew, he instead continued to release EPs and singles sporadically, constantly exploring new forms of expression following *Untrue*. This album is a collection that comprehensively documents Burial’s journey with *Hyperdub* throughout the 2010s. Seeking to deconstruct the post-dubstep sound he himself had built and and liberation from track lengths and conventional structures, as he ventured into uncharted territory alongside his listeners. It features a total of 17 tracks spanning 150 minutes—including six tracks released on CD for the first time—across a two-disc set. From “StreetHalo” and “Loner,” which present a deep house vibe with a driving 4/4 beat, to the 11-minute “Kindred”—a self-collage of his own worldview—and “RivalDealer,” which unfolds an emotional narrative unbound by the beat, “Truant,” which is bathed in some of the most radiant ambient light in history; “ComeDownToUs,” a popular track emblematic of Brial in the 2010s; and recent “burial-style” ambient tracks exemplified by his latest single “StateForest”—these elusive pieces by a solitary genius have been rearranged in a deliberate track order, culminating here as a single, grand lyrical poem.
