Salute, a supernova in the house world praised by the Four Tet, Floating Points, Fred Against, and others, has released her latest album "TRUE MAGIC" on the Ninja Tune label. The album features a diverse lineup of artists including Lina Sawayama, Disclosure, Empress Of, Karma Kid, Sam Gellaitry, piri, Lea Sen, LEILAH ( LEILAH), and Minami Nakamura. Salut was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, and is currently based in Manchester.Salto first entered the UK club scene at the age of 18, when he moved from his native Vienna to Brighton and then to Manchester. It was there that he came into full contact with club culture, which until then he had only known through YouTube and Boiler Room videos. In 2023, he released the EP "Shield" on Ninja Tune's Technicolour label, which featured the Four Tet, DJ Seinfeld, Floating Points, and Moll, It was nominated for "Best Electronic/Dance" at the MOBO Awards, and has received support from artists such as The Four Tet, DJ Sainfeld, Floating Points, Mall Grub, Daphni, Skrillex, and Fred Agean. He continues to give impressive performances at venues such as Coachella, Boiler Room ( over 1 million views on Youtube), Glastonbury, and has recently performed with Disclosure, Mall Grub, and Hudson Mohawk, as well as supporting Jungle on their US tour.For this album, "TRUE MAGIC," Salute adopted a more collaborative approach, renting a house in the countryside and working on the album with a group of friends. From visuals to sound, Salute was also inspired by JDM culture and old Japanese car ads, and spent hours searching YouTube to create the concept for the album, which features old Japanese cars racing in a fictional race called "TRUE MAGIC." Salute says, "I learned the pleasure of watching old ads on Youtube while watching old TV videos that my parents recorded on VHS. From there, I started looking at old car ads, and at some point I came across an ad for a Japanese car," he explains his background. This visual concept also moved the sound aspect of the album forward, resulting in an album with a fast-paced feel.
