Murphy and DJ Coetzee's approach, based on a fusion of hip-hop, ecstatic psychedelia, and soulful grooves, has resulted in an album with melodies that will stick in your brain upon first listen, but that you will want to replay over and over again. The thirteen songs on this album were produced over a period of six years, mostly in a remote environment. Fans of both artists will know that this inspirational collaboration was born out of Murphy's participation on DJ Coetzee's 2018 album Knock Knock, specifically "Illumination" and "Scratch That".The artwork for "Hit Parade" was created by artist Beth Frey, who superimposed Murphy on AI-generated images, and graphic design by Braulio Amado, with creative direction by Object & Animal, the creative studio behind FKA Twigs, Caroline Polacheck, and Shy Girl, among others. Object & Animal, a creative studio that has worked with FKA Twigs, Caroline Polacheck, and Shygirl, is in charge of the project, with Murphy also named as creative director. (2/2)
