MAIN OFFENDER was first released in October 1992, four years after the release of his first solo album, TALK IS CHEAP. Drummer and longtime collaborator Steve Jordan, guitarist Waddy Wachter, bassist Charlie Drayton, keyboardist Ivan Neville, singer Sarah Dash, and backing vocalists Bernard Fowler and Babi Floyd Recorded with the lovable members of X-PENSIVE WINOS, the album features a total of 10 songs, including "Wicked As It Seems," "Eileen," "Hate It When You Leave," and many more. Commenting on "MAIN OFFENDER," Keith Richard said, "This is the second time I've done this. This is the second time I've worked with Winos, and in a way they are still developing. If I could work with them forever, I'm sure they would grow into one of the best bands in the world. They are a truly fascinating band, and their potential is only just beginning to be seen. If we hadn't taken Winos on tour, this record would probably be something completely different. I was careful not to explain too much on this record. For me, that ambiguity, that mystery, that little provocation that sticks in people's minds, is much more powerful and important than waving your index finger and saying, "Yes, he should do this, he should do that.If you are a musician, silence is your canvas, and you don't want to paint all over it.
