Savarisch and Dresden's classic recording of Schumann: The Complete Symphonies is back on analog LP. Wolfgang Sawallisch and the Staatskapelle Dresden interpret Schumann's four symphonies, each a highly distinctive work, appropriately and eloquently, and convey energy and passion in these performances, but do not impose themselves on the music. From the smoldering tone of Schumann's inspired and sometimes idiosyncratic arguments, revealing the old traditions of Dresden at the time, to the extremely deft stick of Sawallisch, this is a masterful performance, brilliantly revived by youthful power. The sound has been remastered several times before, but for the release on analog LP, we cut the sound from each master and used the 2002 ART remastered master, which clearly reproduced the most analog sound quality and localization of each sound. We will be releasing the recordings as 180g analog LP records. Warner Music Japan
