This year marks the 45th anniversary of their debut, and they are still going forward on the road of loud, hard, and tough music.This year, when the band became "Forty-Five Years Young" instead of "Forty-Five Years Old", Girl School completed their 14th studio album "WTFORTYFIVE? WTFORTYFIVE?" is now complete! This latest album is released today with the wonderfully dirty declaration that "age is a number that indicates how much real and raw attitude you have when it really matters". This latest release is a top-notch rock 'n' roll album with leather-booted foot stomping, galloping riffs, and melodies that are rock 'n' roll at its finest. Kim McAuliffe (guitar/vocals), Tracy Lamb (bass), Denise Dufort (drums), and Jackie Chambers (guitar/backing vocals) create 12 songs that are both raw and real, a strong statement of "girl school" intentions. The 12 songs are raw, realistic, and filled with a strong "girl school" statement of intent.Starting with the addictive, Motorhead-charged, dirty "It Is What It is," "Bump In The Night" swings from Wandsworth to the Sunset Strip, "Up To No Good" is a youthful punkish romp, and "Believe In You" is a wise yet sassy rock 'n' roll hook.
