And also the winner of the 2018 Leeds International Piano Competition! His slow, calm, and deep playing has been highly praised as "far above the level among young pianists". This Schubert album pairs two of his greatest sonatas, Sonata No. 14 in A minor, written in 1823, and No. 20 in A major, written in 1828, the last year of the composer's short life, and connects them with the 1827 Allegretto in C minor, D .915. Eric Roux has described Schubert as "the composer who most strongly moved me" and praised this "superb performance by a gifted musician who can explore the depths of piano literature with poetic sensibility and imagination."
