Ambient dub collective Dub Treize, led by Killing Joke bassist and producer Youth = Martin Glover, who has worked with a number of major artists. The long-awaited CD reissue of the epic masterpiece "Celtic Vedic" released in 2016 on Liquid Sound Design (aka LSD), a sister label to Dragonfly Records, which he presides over! This important work in Youth's career was produced in the wake of headlining the O.Z.O.R.A. Festival in Hungary in 2015. Featuring many field recordings from their trip to India, the melodic and psychedelic soundscapes are created by the strong and destructive bass lines of their ally Jah Wobble (Public Image Limited) and the distorted soundscapes of Matt Black (Coldcut). The melodic and psychedelic soundscape created by Matt Black's (Coldcut) distorted soundscape is intensely addictive. The theme of the album, which depicts "a Celtic journey from Northern India to Snowdonia in the mountains of northwest Wales," was inspired by the connection between Celtic culture, which Youth is interested in, and Vedic culture, the religious and philosophical traditions of ancient India. The theme is accompanied by bagpipe/flute player Daniel Roemer and Indian singer Sridevi Keshavan, among others. This is truly a long-awaited return to the cutting-edge electronica scene that Liquid Sound Design pioneered in 2000. The long-awaited reissue of this 2016 masterpiece is now available to all, from long-time post-punk freaks who love Youth and Jah Wobble to DUB lovers and world music fans alike!
