With tones imbued with nostalgia and passion Mendelssohn, Brahms, Grieg… Following their debut album *Nuits parisiennes* (AP-306), Manon Galli and Jorge González-Buachasan invite us on a journey into the inner world of Romanticism. At the heart of the program lies Mendelssohn’s sole violin sonata, complemented by poetic and intimate gems from Brahms and Grieg, as well as Sibelius’s “Lullaby” and Fibich’s “Poem.” Through their tones, the violin and piano sing out the composers’ most personal confessions, imbued with nostalgia and passion. She began playing the violin at age 7 and studied at the Paris Conservatoire. She later studied under Julia Fischer at the Munich University of Music. In 2021, she won first prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition, performing with Bouahassan. In 2022, she was selected for the Victoires de la Musique’s Best New Soloist Award in the instrumental category, instantly drawing widespread attention. She is a member of the Trio Zeliha. Born in Havana in 1994. After honing his skills at the Alejandro García Caturla Conservatory in Havana, he studied under Hortense Cartier-Bresson at the Paris Conservatoire. He has also received guidance from Leonid Khatskin, Plesler, and Lupu. He is active in both chamber music and solo performance. In chamber music, he is a member of the Trio Zeliha. He has performed frequently with Gary. In 2021, he won first prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition, performing with Gary. APARTE
