Description:
The Tempest" reproduces Chausson's dreamlike sound world Chausson composed incidental music for Shakespeare's "The Tempest" in 1888. Originally an orchestral piece with solo voices, Chausson himself is said to have arranged five pieces from it for solo voice, flute, violin, viola, cello, harp, and celesta. Musica Nigella conductor Yuhaku Nemoto searched for the scores but could not find them, so he attempted to restore them based on the orchestral score and Chausson's own piano reductions. This is a world of surprises. The dreamlike sound of celesta and harp and the beautiful French singing take us to an unreal world. Musica Nigella is a new ensemble formed in 2019 by musicians from Pas-de-Calais. It is rapidly gaining recognition under the musical direction of Yuhaku Nemoto, the principal horn player of Minkowski's Musique du Palais du Louvre. The group's fashionable, uniquely French sound is appealing. King International
