Description:
The third album by this three-piece punk band from Mexico, which has been praised by all the big names in the US alternative scene! Produced by Omar Rodriguez (Anthemask/Mars Volta)! Guests include Iggy Pop and John Frusciante! After a short interval of only one year since their last release, this new album is produced by Omar Rodriguez (Antemask/Mars Volta) and features guest appearances by Iggy Pop, John Frusciante, and more! The album was produced by Omar Rodriguez, as on the previous two albums, and features guest appearances by Iggy Pop on "La Uva" and former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante on "My Half". The punkish garage sound heard on previous albums is still present on this album, but the songs are more straightforward and full of drive. The focus of this album is on the "recurring conflict between minorities and society, persecutors and their victims," says frontwoman Terri Gender Bender. Each song is about a different generation of young people. Some have lost hope in humanity and want to die, others are fighting against power. Sold Less Than Gold" is about women who are sold into marriage or sexual slavery, and their resilience. And though times are different, history repeats itself. Conflicts and ties will always exist, and no matter how hard we try to fight them, there will always be those who become zombies. A Row Youth" is a wake-up call to live without fear of death.
