The British rock band "Place Your Hands" had a hit with their gritty, bluesy rock tune "Place Your Hands" during the heyday of Britpop in the mid-90s, and even before their album debut, they were a supporting act for such superstars as The Rolling Stones, Paul Weller, and Soundgarden. and Reef. The band's latest album, "Shoot Me Your Ace," is their second since the addition of guitarist Jesse Wood, son of Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, and their first in four years. The producer is Andy Taylor, formerly of Duran Duran. Incidentally, Andy is widely known as a producer of Rod Stewart's numerous works and Thunder's early works in the hard rock field. As can be heard in the preceding single "Shoot Me Your Ace," the band still has their signature bluesy, bony vocals, but with a pop sound. This album will appeal to fans of British hard rock of yesteryear, such as Led Zeppelin, Free, and Thin Lizzy.
