Description:

British hard rock band formed in the late 60s by Paul Gardner (g/vo) of former DRY ICE and Alan Warner (g/vo) of former THE FOUNDATIONS, featuring unreleased recordings from the early/mid-70s. Following the CD release, this 2020 rediscovery is now available on limited edition 180g heavyweight vinyl! Following the departure of Drop Out/Michael Worth (b) and Derek Jervis (dr) from the UK's Dawn, the band recorded and produced material for a second album with new rhythm section members Paul "Monkey" Monk (b) and Nicholas "Foxy" Fox (dr) joined the rhythm section. Recorded and produced, the material for this elusive second album was shelved when a deal with a new label fell through (due to running time constraints, the CD's bonus tracks are not included). While inheriting the band's signature expansive feel and earthy/down-to-earth vibe reminiscent of 70's American Rock, heard on their '71 debut, this album showcases throughout a musicality and sound enhanced with the tightness and robustness that felt somewhat spoiled on the '71 release. The album opens with the fast-paced tune 'Hound', followed by 'Join The Queue', 'Work Out A Plan', and others. While showcasing dynamic and energetic performances/ensembles reflecting their live activities since their debut, the album also reveals a more pronounced North American orientation from the mid-point onward, incorporating diverse styles like Blues, Country, and Southern Rock. This valuable, rare discovery showcases the band's evolution and musical journey since their sole album, and had it been released, it would have stood as an excellent example of British Hard Rock influenced by North American Hard Rock, akin to bands like HOME or THIN LIZZY!! The inner sleeve features liner notes by British music journalist Dick Porter, interwoven with rare photos from the band's '70s era and present-day live performances, '70s-era live promotional ads, and member interviews. 【Limited Edition Analog / 180g Heavyweight Vinyl】
