However, the "Clavusan Pieces," a suite of two pieces, including a character piece, is admirably done, and can be enjoyed here in very beautiful sound, thanks to a replica of the Meatke made by Giulio Fratini in 2014. The English booklet includes a reflection by the performer Simone Pierini and a preface from the manuscript in French and English translation. Manuscript by Father Pangre Alexandre Guy Pangre [1711-1796], a well-known astronomer and geographer, a clergyman, entered the world of astronomy after his work in the seminary, was appointed astronomer and geographer in the Navy after numerous achievements, and was elected a full member of the Academy of Sciences at age 45, when Paris ordered He arrived at the Sainte-Geneviève Abbey as rector and librarian. An observatory was built at the abbey for Father Pangre, and he worked there for the next 40 years, pursuing many passions, including astronomy, geography, natural history, and literature. Father Pangre had studied music in the seminary and was able to play keyboard instruments and even transcribed organ and harpsichord pieces. He even transcribed organ and harpsichord pieces, which are housed in the Sainte-Geneviève Library, where he worked, and are known as valuable documents. The instrument used is the Mietke model. The harpsichord used is a harpsichord made in 2014, based on an instrument by the North German harpsichord maker Michael Mietke [c.1656-1719], also known for his "Bach Harpsichord. The maker, Giulio Fratini, has had a workshop in Fermo in central Italy since 2008, and has made and restored many harpsichords, fortepianos, and organs. (Nihon Shuppan Boeki)
