Presented by the Gautier Capuçon Foundation: a collaboration between rising stars Elias David Moncado and Mirabel Kajengeli. The long-awaited new album *Heritage*, released by the Gautier Capuçon Foundation, founded by Gautier Capuçon, one of today’s leading cellists. This project was born out of the Foundation’s annual recording initiative, an effort to introduce selected talented young musicians to the world and provide long-term support for their careers. Elias David Moncado is a violinist born in 2000 with roots in Germany, Spain, and Malaysia. Hailed by Anne-Sophie Mutter as “one of the greatest talents of his generation,” he is a prodigy of exceptional promise. Since making his debut at the tender age of 10, he has swept numerous prestigious awards, including becoming the youngest-ever winner in the history of the 2019 Lipinski International Violin Competition (where he took first prize and 10 special awards), as well as at the Spivakov International Competition and the Valsesia Musica International Competition. Currently a scholarship recipient of the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation and the Gautier Capuçon Foundation, he is attracting keen attention from major music festivals and orchestras around the world. His performance activities are wide-ranging, and he is steadily building his career through appearances at the Lucerne Festival and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, as well as collaborations with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra. Following his fifth-place finish at the Sendai International Music Competition, he captivated Japanese audiences through performances with the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra and debut recitals in Tokyo and Sendai. He is currently studying under Mihaela Martin at the Kronberg Academy. Playing renowned instruments such as the 1724 Stradivarius “Ludwig, Ex-Szigeti,” she is leading the next generation of the classical music world with an overwhelming tone and technique that captivates listeners. French pianist Mirabel Kajengeli was born in 1998. Her multicultural background, with roots in Burundi and Ukraine, provides deep inspiration for her musicality. Having joined the Gautier Capuçon Foundation in 2024, she won a prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in 2025 and made her debut at the Berlin Philharmonie, establishing herself as a rising star currently attracting international attention. She boasts numerous achievements, including winning the Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition, and studied under renowned masters at institutions such as the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He is also known as a versatile musician who has studied the violin alongside the piano since childhood and possesses the skill to have earned a bachelor’s degree in the instrument. He is highly regarded for his natural, generous playing style and his masterful control of rich, colorful tones. This album features fresh, high-quality performances by these two artists, honed within the Foundation’s rigorous mentorship and career development ecosystem. At the heart of the album are sonatas by Brahms and Ravel, two of the greatest masters representing Germany and France, respectively.
