This is the soft-pack CD edition of *THANKYOU*, their first full-length cover album released in 1995, featuring Duran Duran’s unique arrangements of songs by Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, and others! Duran Duran, the pop legends who have been creating a new kind of “POP” since the 1980s by constantly utilizing cutting-edge art and the latest technology. They ignited the New Romantic movement of the 1980s and have since raced through the global music scene, with worldwide record sales exceeding 100 million copies, 21 US Top 40 singles, and 30 UK Top 30 singles. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022 and released their latest album, *DANSEMACABRE*, in 2023. They remain active artists to this day. In 2024, their first five albums were reissued on soft-pack CDs and vinyl using 2010 remastered audio. Now, it has been announced that their two albums released in the 1990s will also be released on soft-pack CDs and vinyl. The two albums to be released are *DURANDURAN (THE WEDDING ALBUM)*, released in 1993, and the cover album *THANKYOU*, released in 1995. While each was originally released as a single vinyl LP, this vinyl reissue—the first since their original releases—will be released as a 2-LP set to achieve the highest possible sound quality. ★★ *THANK YOU* (1995) ★★ Released in 1995, *THANK YOU* was the band’s first cover album and their eighth studio album overall. Featuring a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Thank You”—which served as the album’s title track and was also used on the soundtrack for the film *With Honors*—the album includes Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day,” Bob Dylan’s “Lay Lady Lay,” Mary Mel’s “White Lines (Don’t Don’t Do It),” as well as covers of songs by Public Enemy, Iggy Pop, Elvis Costello, and The Doors. It peaked at No. 12 on the UK Albums Chart.
