In Pianosong, Alexandre Tharaud pays homage to the leading French chanson singer-songwriters of the 20th century (Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Barbara, Serge Gainsbourg, Charles Trenet, Leo Ferré, Michel Bergé). The program pays homage to these musicians and their masterpieces. This work sublimates their masterpieces into a new musical language of piano and symphony.
