David Bowie is a legend who has always been ahead of his time and continues to pioneer his era. While his focus on soul music continued, he developed a new persona as the Thin White Duke, and his masterpiece "Station to Station" released in 1976, known as a masterpiece of white soul created under his European identity, is now available in two limited-edition vinyl editions to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its release! This is a limited edition analog vinyl version of the album. This is the half speed master analog version cut by John Webber of AIR Studios! David Bowie, a legend who always pioneered the cutting edge of the times, presented a different direction from his previous Glam Rock sound with the album "DIAMOND DOGS" released in 1974, and built a sound closer to Philadelphia Soul with "YOUNG AMERICANS" released in March 1975. He has built a sound closer to Philadelphia soul with YOUNG AMERICANS, released in March 1975, and with his new persona/character, Thin White Duke, created during the tour that accompanied YOUNG AMERICANS, he released STATION TO STATION, an album that echoes the white soul created under his European identity. The album "STATION TO STATION" was released in January 1976. This masterpiece of white soul will celebrate its 50th anniversary in January 2026. STATION TO STATION" was released on January 23, 1976. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the release of this masterpiece, two special limited editions will be released on January 23, 2026: a picture disc analog featuring the cover photo of Bowie in his striking pose, and a half-speed master analog. The half-speed master analog version will be released in two special limited editions. As with previous 50th anniversary analog releases, the sound sources on this release were cut using a customized late Neumann VMS80 lathe, with the master restored to 192 kHz without any processing during transfer of the original master tapes. The half-speed master was also cut by John Webber of AIR Studios. The picture disc analog will also be released with specifications that include a reprint of a poster that was used to promote the album 50 years ago. (1/2)
