First release of the famous Mozart concerto by Emmanuelle Pajou, Zabine Meyer, and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Abbado as an analog LP vinyl record in a limited quantity. Emmanuelle Payu's recording of Mozart's "Concerto for Flute and Harp in C Major" is one of the most acclaimed performances of the piece, recorded in 1996 and featuring harpist Marie-Pierre Langrame and Claudio Abbado. Payou's flute playing is graceful and expressive, especially in its warm, rich tone. Critics praised the charming interplay between Payu and Langrame, especially the enchanting elegance of the second movement. The recording of the "Clarinet Concerto in A major" by Sabine Meyer, also with the Berlin Philharmonic and Claudio Abbado, is also considered an important interpretation of this masterpiece. In this 1998 recording, the basset clarinet Mozart originally intended for this concerto is used, giving it a deeper, richer tone in the lower register.The sensitive, deeply emotional and lyrical performance, especially in the second movement "Adagio," has impressed many listeners. In both performances, Claudio Abbado and the Berlin Philharmonic provide well-balanced and refined accompaniment, and these recordings are considered the benchmark for these two beloved concertos in our time.
