The Sundays—a legendary band that delicately yet vividly colored the 1990s UK indie pop scene with their acoustic sound and crystal-clear vocals. Their three studio albums, released between 1990 and 1997, are now being reissued worldwide on CD and vinyl, spanning more than 30 years. This is the vinyl edition of *BLIND* (Japanese title: *The Story of Glass Color*), their emotionally rich masterpiece released in 1992 after they moved to the Parlophone label, which features a more introspective and darker sound. Formed in 1987 at the University of Bristol in the UK, the band was centered around guitarist David Gablin and vocalist Harriet Wheeler. In 1990, their debut album *READING, WRITING AND ARITHMETIC* immediately reached No. 4 on the UK charts, and they gained popularity for their beautiful sound—a fusion of post-punk and neo-acoustic that differed from Britpop—and their pop sensibility. This album (released in the U.S. by Geffen) retains Harriet’s magnificent vocals while featuring a sound with greater depth and an introspective worldview that makes her crystal-clear voice stand out. It is considered the most experimental of The Sundays’ works, yet it is also hailed as a masterpiece of indie pop. It reached No. 15 on the UK charts. “Time flows quietly within a faintly distorted frame” (from the Japanese edition’s promotional copy upon its 1992 release).
