Following his previous album *HEATHEN*, this is the second release on his own ISO label, created once again in collaboration with Tony Visconti. It features a more straightforward rock sound and marks This is the 180-gram heavyweight vinyl edition of his 24th studio album, *REALITY* (2002), a project he completed in collaboration with Tony Visconti, following their work on the previous album, *HEATHEN*. David Bowie, the legend who always stayed at the forefront of his time and continued to pioneer new eras. In September 2025, the sixth and final installment of the box set series summarizing his prolific career since 1969—the deluxe 13-disc CD box set *I CAN’T GIVE EVERYTHING AWAY [2002–2016]*—was released. Now, the four studio albums and one live album originally included in this final chapter of the box set are being released as standalone titles. The releases include the four studio albums Bowie released between 2002 and 2016: *HEATHEN* (2002), *REALITY* (2003), *THE NEXT DAY* (2013), and *★ (BLACKSTAR)* (2016), released between 2002 and 2016, as well as the two-disc live album *A REALITY TOUR*, which captures the Dublin performance from the "Reality Tour"—one of the most beloved tours of his career. The albums from *HEATHEN* to *THENEXTDAY* feature 2025 remastered audio, while *★ (BLACKSTAR)*, Bowie’s final album, uses the original master. Regarding *REALITY*, released in 2003, Tony Visconti recalls, “David said he wanted to write songs for a new touring band. He would also let that band handle the album recording.” As Bowie said at the time, this album took on a more “aggressive” sound. The band then embarked on the “REALITY TOUR,” one of the most beloved tours of Bowie’s career.
