In July this year, they released their latest studio album "THE BALLAD OF DARREN," their first in about eight years, and immediately following the release, in August, they performed in Japan as the headliners of Summer Sonic, showing once again their presence and fullness on the scene.The band's first album in eight years was released last year at Wembley Arena in London, UK, and the largest live show in Blur's history was released as a 2-CD set, 3-analog set, and 2-CD set.The weekend of July 8 & 9, 2023 was the band's first show at Wembley Arena, and in front of 150,000 fans they performed "The Narcissist", a single from their latest UK #1 album "THE BALLAD OF DARREN and "St Charles Square", as well as "There's No Other Way", "Popscene", "Beetlebum", "Trimm Trabb", "Villa Rosie", "Coffee &TV", "Under The Westway", "Out of Time", "To The End", "Parklife", "Song 2", "This is a Low", "Girls &Boys", "Tender", and "The Universal". Included on the 2-CD set is the Sunday, July 9 show. The artwork, which is richly illustrated with photographs, is also noteworthy, conveying the excitement and emotion of the show.
