※ This product is a re-press of 'Lonely Boy: The Asylum Years Anthology', originally released in 2020. Representing the 1970s West Coast scene, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Gold—who rose to prominence supporting artists like Linda Ronstadt and Carly Simon—presents his Asylum Records era recordings in a 6CD+DVD box set. CDs 1-4 feature his four early original albums: 'Andrew Gold' (1975), 'What's Wrong with This Picture?' (1976), 'All This and Heaven Too' (1978), and 'Whirlwind' (1980), all newly remastered. CD5 contains 14 previously unreleased tracks, including the demo version of "Ten Years Behind Me," the original version of "Lonely Boy," an early version of "Firefly," and an alternate take of "Still You Linger On." CD6 contains eight live tracks recorded at the Universal Amphitheatre in LA on January 6, 1977, and ten live tracks recorded at the New Victoria Theatre in London on November 23, 1976, which were broadcast in 1977 on the legendary British BBC music program "The Old Grey Whistle Test." The DVD includes six promotional videos for songs such as "Lonely Boy" and "Go Back Home Again," ten songs from the aforementioned "Old Grey Whistle Test" broadcast, and three live performances from the same program broadcast the following year in 1978.
