By the late 70s, the Revolutionaries had firmly established themselves as Jamaica's premier instrumental group. Among its members were the renowned Sly & Robbie. During this period, Errol Brown, sound engineer and producer at Treasure Isle, was also known for producing some of the most powerful reggae works of the time, including those by Marcia Griffiths, Mikey Dread, Delroy Wilson, and Justin Hinds. This compilation features dub versions of hit songs, primarily recorded between 1977 and 1978 on SONIA POTTINGER's prestigious HIGH NOTE label. Of the 42 tracks, 25 have been unavailable in any format since their original release, making this a superb compilation of deep, heavy sounds.
