Gentle Giant had established a unique position in the British progressive rock scene with their outstanding originality and technique. Their sixth album, "The Power and the Glory," released in September 1974, was a success in the U.S. prior to its release in their home country. This live album was recorded at the New York show on January 18, 1975 during the North American tour that followed. The original recording was made for the popular American radio program "King Biscuit Flower Hour," and it has been remastered. The set list, which consisted mainly of songs from the new album as well as their best-known songs to date, showed once again how great Gentle Giant's progressive rock sound is.
