Since their debut in 1962, The Rolling Stones have remained at the forefront of the rock scene for over half a century and are regarded as the pinnacle of rock 'n' roll bands.
In February 1977, The Rolling Stones played two secret gigs at a club in Toronto, Canada. However, during this time, Keith Richards was arrested for heroin possession but was released after promising to appear in court at a later date. The trial dragged on, but because Keith Richards received a suspended sentence, he was required to perform two charity concerts in Oshawa, Canada. On April 22, 1979, they held two shows—one in the afternoon and one at night—featuring Ron Wood’s New Barbarians (with Keith Richards) as the opening act. The performances were recorded and broadcast by a local FM station. This album is a live recording based on that broadcast and contains the complete concert.
The band performed three cover songs, along with tracks from their then-new album *Some Girls* and their signature hits. As bonus tracks, the album includes five songs from the broadcast of the New Barbarians’ first set, as they served as the opening act.
