With a career spanning over half a century, Yes continues to reign as one of the top bands in the progressive rock scene, despite having weathered numerous ups and downs, including breakups, reunions, hiatuses, and lineup changes. They made a dramatic comeback with the worldwide success of their 1983 album *90125* (known as *Lonely Heart* in Japan). However, after the tour following the release of their next album, *Big Generator*, John Anderson left the band. He then formed Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman & Howe with former members Steve Howe, Bill Bruford, and Rick Wakeman. In 1989, they released the album *Flash* (original title: *Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe*), which reached No. 30 on the US album charts. The band then embarked on a 74-show world tour titled *The Evening of YES Music*. For the Japanese leg of this tour, the Tokyo and Yokohama shows were recorded for broadcast on PBS Radio in the U.S. to promote the subsequent North American tour. This album is a live recording of the Yokohama show (March 7, 1990) from that footage, capturing the concert in its entirety, including the members’ solos and the encore.
In addition to new material, the band performs many of their classic hits. In particular, fans can enjoy early classics like "Crisis" and "Burning at Dawn" featuring Bill Bruford’s drumming, fully experiencing the band’s live appeal.
