Former King Crimson and UK member Bill Bruford's eponymous band Bruford was a unique presence within the progressive rock and jazz rock movements. Formed by Alan Holdsworth, who left UK with him, Dave Stewart, formerly of Egg and Hatfield and the North, and Jeff Berlin, a technical musician who was attracting attention on the jazz scene, Bruford was not a commercial success but gained a strong fan base. After the release of their first album, One Of A Kind, Allan Holdsworth left the band. They auditioned and recruited a new session musician named John Clark, and produced their new album, Gradually Going Tornado. To promote this new album, they embarked on a North American and European tour. Their June 7, 1979 concert in Nîmes, France, was recorded and broadcast by a local FM station to promote the album.This live album features the audio source used during the broadcast and includes the entire concert, including the encore. It consists mainly of songs from the first album, and since no live album from this European tour has been released, this is a long-awaited release for Bill Bruford fans! As a bonus track, "One of a Kind" from the live recording in Amsterdam, Netherlands, featuring Allan Holdsworth, has been added.
