Suede

Formed in London in 1989, Suede debuted in 1993 with their self-titled album "Suede" on the independent label Nude Records. The album's glam-rock-influenced sound and incendiary lyrics created a buzz, and it became the fastest-selling debut album by a newcomer at the time. After the release of their second album in 1994, co-songwriter Bernard Butler left the band. In 1996, the band replaced him with 17-year-old guitarist Richard Oakes and keyboardist Neil Codling, and their third album, the catchy, pop-oriented "Coming Up," debuted at No. 1 on the UK album charts. It sold more than 1.5 million copies in total. After the breakup of the band, they reunited in 2010 and continued their energetic activities, releasing their 10th album, "Antidepressants," in 2025. Here is a rare live archive of Suede! To promote "Head Music," released in 1999 with artwork by Peter Saville, Swede went on a world tour, including Japan. As part of the tour, a live performance in Copenhagen on April 30 of the same year was recorded and broadcast for a radio program. This live album was recorded and broadcasted for the radio program. Head Music," which introduced new musical aspects such as strings and orchestration, completed the work and also reached No. 1 on the charts. Brett Anderson consciously broke away from the narcissistic, pretty-boy image that had been attached to him, capturing the period in which the transition to a powerful live band that incited the audience with its MC's was established. This album is a rare opportunity to enjoy the Swades in their transitional period. Bonus tracks include three songs from a 1993 radio session in Paris. Imported domestic edition with Japanese obi and bilingual liner notes in English.
