Jimi Hendrix was the darling of the rock scene and rose to the top with his strong personality and unparalleled guitar technique, and he influenced many guitarists, but died after only four years of activity. This is the long-awaited release of a rare archive of Jimi Hendrix's legendary performances that have been the talk of the town among his fans. Just two months before the legendary Woodstock Festival, Jimi Hendrix led The Experience to perform at the Newport Pop Festival, and the live performance was recorded and broadcast for a local radio station. This live album is based on the recordings from this broadcast, and includes the encores and the complete concert. Jimi Hendrix's performance on this day was wilder and tighter, probably due to his drug intake. This is the last live album of Jimi Hendrix's career as the leader of the Experience, as Noel Redding left the band after the concert 9 days later.
