In the early 1980s, a new heavy metal/hard rock movement emerged on the U.S. West Coast and swept the music scene, earning the name "LA metal" in Japan. Numerous bands debuted in the music scene, and the new "industrial rock" movement expanded to become a worldwide phenomenon. Dokken, one of the core bands of this movement, steadily rose to stardom with each album release, until 1988, when the band disbanded due to a feud between the members. Here comes the live album of Dokken right after their debut! In 1981, Don Dokken formed his eponymous band, signed with Carrera Records in France, and released his debut album "Breaking The Chains" in 1982. To promote the album, the band performed a live studio show for a German TV and radio program on January 14 of the same year, which was broadcast in various countries in Europe. This album is a live album recorded at the time of the broadcast, and includes the complete live studio performance including guitar and bass solos. By the time this first album was released, Dokken's sound style had been established. Don Dokken's hard and soft vocals and George Lynch's edgy and sharp guitar playing are superb! This is a rare live archive for fans of the band, as Juan Crusier, an original member of the band, left the band at the end of the tour to join Ratt. Six additional live tracks from the 1984 North American tour are included as bonus tracks. Imported domestic version with Japanese obi and bilingual liner notes in English.
