The long-awaited reunion of Oasis is now available in a rare live album! Formed in Manchester by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, Oasis was discovered by Alan McGee of Creation Records and released the album "Oasis (Definitely Maybe)" in 1994. With anthems that struck a chord with the working class, it was an impressive debut that broke the record for the fastest-selling debut album at the time. The follow-up, "Morning Glory (What's The Story) Morning Glory?", switched to a more melody-driven pop tone and spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the album charts. After Noel's departure in 2009, the brothers continued their musical activities and fought with each other through the press. Finally, a 2025 reunion and tour in the UK & Ireland was announced.To promote their 1997 release "Be Here Now," Oasis embarked on a world tour from September 1997 to March of the following year. In October, he made his first trip to the U.S., but it consisted only of two shows in New York City and a TV appearance. The Hammerstein Ballroom show on October 8, the second day of the tour, was recorded and broadcast for WBCN-FM's program. This live album is based on the sound recordings used for the broadcast, and includes new songs and encores from that time. Amidst the high expectations that followed the first two albums, "Be Here Now" sold 810,000 copies in its first seven days of release, reaching #1 in 15 countries and staying at the top of the U.K. album charts for four weeks, living up to its reputation. After the huge success of the album on a global scale, the band showed a sense of dignity and ease in their live performance in the U.S., a huge market. The band performed "Don't Go Away," which was the second day of the show, the B-side of the single "Stay Young," and many other songs that are rare nowadays.Among them, "Fade In - Out" is the best with its heavy and psychedelic arrangement that is completely different from the studio version. Since no live album from this period has been officially released, this is a must-hear for fans.
