After Dokken broke up in 1988, guitarist George Lynch formed a new band, Lynch Mob, with drummer Mick Brown, and released their debut album, Wicked Sensation, in 1990. Unlike the sound of Dokken, the album brought George Lynch's guitar sound to the forefront, giving the album a more rock 'n' roll feel. After the release of the album, the band embarked on an 86-show "Mad At The World Tour". The concert in Detroit, Michigan on February 23, 1991 was recorded and broadcast on PBS for promotional purposes. This live album captures the entire concert, including Dokken's numbers, guitar solos, and encores. The live performance is wilder than the studio version, and George Lynch's guitar playing is more technical than Dokken's days.Vocalist Oni Logan left the band after this tour, so this is a rare live album featuring the original lineup.
