Formed in France, Gong was a progressive/psychedelic rock band that developed an avant-garde sound in the progressive rock scene of the 1970s, and has maintained a unique presence while repeatedly changing members. Eight years after the death of the band's founder, David Allen, Gong is still actively releasing albums and playing live shows, and in May 2023 will visit Japan with the Steve Hillage Band to perform a spectacular live show.
