Formed in 1990 by Bob James on piano and keyboards, Lee Littner on guitar, Nathan East on bass, and Harvey Mason on drums, Fourplay became a jazz band with the addition of Chuck Loeb as the third guitarist. The band's sound became much more jazz-oriented. The new Fourplay released "Let's Touch The Sky" in 2010 and went on a tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The album includes a special concert held at Sumida Triphony Hall on December 10, 2010, featuring songs from their first album "Fourplay" (released in 1991) and "Energy" (2008), as well as the second half of the concert featuring a gorgeous joint performance with the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Taizo Takemoto. In the second half of the concert, the orchestra and the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a splendid joint program.
